Upon the invitation of Artistic Director Gil Roman, Friedemann Vogel will dance Maurice Béjart’s Song of a Wayfarer, a duet between two male dancers. It tells the poignant story of a wayfarer, a romantic student pursued by fate who fights against loneliness before being led away by the hand of destiny. Created in 1971 for Rudolf Nureyev and Paolo Bortoluzzi set to the music of Gustav Mahler ,,Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen'' is an expressive, lyrical and highly intense duo. The performances will take place in the Soirée Mahler ''Hommage à Jorge Donn'' from 22 to 30 June 2013 at Théâtre de Beaulieu Lausanne.

The Czech National Ballet featuring Svetlana Zakharova and Friedemann Vogel in Giselle.The Prague State Opera Orchestra will be playing under the baton of Alexey Bogorad, conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre.
The performances will take place at the State Opera in Prague on 15 and 17 May 2013.

On 8 September 2012 Friedemann recieved the prize in Positano, Italy.The international Jury comprising Alfio Agostini (Ballet2000), Anna Kisselgoff (New York Times), Roger Salas (El Pais), Leonetta Bentivoglio (La Repubblica), Clement Crisp (Financial Times), Valeria Crippa (Corriere della Sera), Jean-Pierre Pastori (La Tribune de Genève), René Sirvin (Le Figaro) declared Friedemann as the winner of the Prize ''Best male dancer''.
