When Friedemann met Heinz Clauss at his audition to join the John Cranko Schule, the young boy would never have guessed he would one day play the then school director and dance star who John Cranko handpicked to join the Stuttgart Ballet in a feature film.
Directed by Joachim Lang, “Cranko” the biopic chronicles the defining years of the Stuttgart Ballet, from the arrival of the late South African choreographer in Stuttgart to his untimely death, but not before he put the now legendary ballet company on the world map.
Avant premiere at the Stuttgart Opera House on 20 September. General release in cinemas across Germany from 3 October
